INTRODUCING ADOBE GLOBAL ADMIN CONSOLE
Global Admin Console allows Global Admins to assign, manage, and monitor their Adobe products and resources across the enterprise in a way that is reflective of their organizational structure and business operations.
DESIGN PROCESS
Designers, PMs, and engineers work iteratively
During the design process, we had 9 Customer Advisory Board (CAB) sessions (bi-weekly) with 14 enterprise customers (e.g. WPP, Publicis, Deloitte, Microsoft, etc.) for design feedback. Alpha and beta programs started with the 14 CAB customers for user validation before the product went alive.
UNDERSTAND THE USER
Large organizations want to manage Adobe Consoles in a both hierarchical and flexible way
After interviewing several customers (including Microsoft, Omnicom, and Disney), we realized that companies with complex organizational structures want to understand how their various divisions and sub-organizations function as a whole. They want to segregate child organizations to manage product usage, privacy policies, or to just reduce workload for their centralized IT department.
WHAT'S THE PROBLEM
Today, a large company can have up to hundreds of siloed Admin Consoles
Large organizations that have multiple divisions or companies are required to use multiple, siloed Admin Console accounts to manage their users and licenses. Companies are also given the option to consolidate their accounts into a single Admin Console, but this does not provide the multi-tiered segregation and management of resources and users that large, global organizations need.
FOCUS OF THE GLOBAL CONSOLE
Large organizations with multiple divisions/companies
The focus of Global Admin Console is large centralized organizations. It gives high-level management of multiple admin consoles. Global admins can define the structure among all admin consoles, create/delete admin consoles, allocate product resources.
THE PERSONA
Jane - the Global Admin
• The global admin has higher permission than the system admin of an individual admin console.
• Only global admin has access to the global console.
• The initial global admin is appointed Adobe agent during the on-boarding process.
• A global admin can appoint other global admins and system admins in the global console.
WORKFLOW
Onboarding, Set up, Use, and Support
The workflows enable users to represent, visualize and operationalize their organizational structures on the Adobe platform. It provides high-level insights into org structure and usage to help our customers understand how Adobe is serving their organizations and make the best decision.

Bringing users to the design iterations
We iterated on the design concepts through 9 bi-weekly Customer Advisory Board (CAB) sessions with 14 enterprise customers (e.g. WPP, Publicis, Deloitte, Microsoft, etc.). These CAB sessions help us explored and converged the design direction from real use cases and customer feedback.

HI-FI PROTOTYPE
Working with engineers and design system
In this project, we worked very closely with the engineering team to make sure the design and experience are implemented correctly. By iterating the UI patterns with the Adobe internal design system team, we were able to improve and contribute to the design system library and later utilized it by other teams and products at Adobe.
USER FEEDBACK
Alpha + Beta versions
We received positive feedback and valuable suggestions for improvement areas from the Alpha and Beta programs with the 14 CAB customers before the product went alive.
